7 Ways to Spring Clean Your Blog | A Bookworm's Guide to Life PinterestEven when its not spring, its always a good time to declutter your blog! Here are 7 simple things you can do to spring clean your blog

1) Clear out your media.

Delete photos and videos that you’re not using or duplicates. But be carful not to delete all your media or they will delete from your blog and you’ll find all your photos and graphics missing (I’m speaking from experience)!

2) Update your bio and “about me” page

Life and people are always changing. Make sure your personal info is up to date and relevant.

3) Clean up your social media profiles

Make sure that you’re using the same icon across all of your social profiles. Your bios will be different depending on what you’re using but make sure it’s relevant and sells you and your blog.

4) Delete any plugins you aren’t using

If you aren’t using a plugin then you should delete it. Plugins are still files and they take up space that could be used for something else.

5) Revise your list of blog post ideas

Spend an hour or so brainstorming new blog post ideas. If you don’t already have one, you should make a blog post bank.

6) Check out blog for broken links

Not only are broken links annoying, they also decrease your SEO ranking. It might be cumbersome, but it’ll be worth going through all your past blog posts.

7) Declutter your sidebar and footer

Make sure you have a search widget somewhere. And get rid of those extra widgets. You don’t need all your awards and badges in your sidebar. Create a separate page for this if you must.
